It is the CAVIAR® philosophy to offer a
varied collection of highly unique yet wearable, eyewear
designs. The CAVIAR Collection® has become synonymous with
trimmed and exotic eyewear, bold and sweeping temple treatments,
special products such as genuine exotic wood, larger-than-usual
sizing, evening wear beyond compare and a collection of
innovative designs "par excellence" which you, the patient
cannot find elsewhere.
Rest assured that CAVIAR limited edition philosophy of making no
more than 5,000 units per style, ensures that the CAVIAR name
stands at the head of the
fashion/quality line.
CAVIAR features amourette wood, also known as snakewood and as "Piratinera
Guianensis ". Amourette wood grows in tropical South America and
particularly in French Guiana. The tree is reported to be rather
small, 24 meters for the highest, with a maximum trunk diameter
of 30-60 cm. There are no branches up to about 12 meters. This
EXTREMELY RARE South American wood is noted for its distinctive
markings resembling a snake's skin. Its coloration is red-brown
with black stripes perpendicular to its fibers. This very hard
and extremely dense wood is mainly used for the manufacturing of
small decorative craft items, jewelry, and violin bows.
Several of the Caviar Exotic Wood frames feature "marqueterie"
craftsmanship. Two different exotic woods are carved out and
then laid onto the temple creating a unique and stylish pattern.
This elaborate process is extremely time consuming, expensive
and detailed. Because of its commitment to producing luxurious
and unusual eyewear, Caviar has developed a significant
collection of marqueterie eyewear, making it the only brand in
the world with exotic wood marqueterie glasses.
Hand-crafted by Italian artisans, CAVIAR'S Champagne Series
bubbles over with excitement. Ornate, often fanciful, end-piece
designs embellish larger-than-usual fronts to make this series
the "toast of the town".
Complete your evening wear wardrobe with the Austrain Crystal
series of limited edition numbered masterpieces. With handset
Austrian crystals, European craftsmanship and classic lines,
this exquisite series is literally a collection of jewelry for
your eyes. |
